he application and admissions procedure for international students is almost identical to the system for UK and EU students. For most courses, however, the deadline for international applications is extended to 30 June in the year you intend to start your studies.

It's still advisable to apply as early as possible, and this is especially true if you are applying for a popular course where there is high demand from UK students. It is even more important if you need a visa to come to the UK, as applications for UK visas from some countries can be slow to process, and you will need a firm offer from a UK university before you apply for one. You will need to complete your administrative, immigration and financial arrangements well before the date your course starts, in order to avoid affecting your studies.

Eligibility Requirements General Information : Admission requirements and eligibility criteria vary from institution to institution, though the academic record of the student should be good. ON a broad scale students can apply, to most universities, for undergraduate programmes after the successful completion of Class XII the exams, together with TOEFL / IELTS scores. However, certain universities like Oxford, Cambridge insist on completion of A levels or completion of graduation to do a second Bachelor's in their university. An alternate to a Bachelor's degree program in the UK is through the 2 year Higher National Diploma (HND) courses, which can be converted into a degree with extra study. For postgraduate programmes, the criteria is graduation plus TOEFL.

Bridge courses are also available which aid in acceptance to postgraduate programmes. Postgraduate Diplomas or Certificates can also be used as bridge courses for acceptance into Postgraduate programmes. Duration of Study: Broadly a bachelor's degree is usually for 3 years - Full time (FT), the sandwich (SW) courses take a longer time. Postgraduate study range from 9 months to 2 years.
